From November 19, 2020, discover "Leur vie, c'est ma vie", the latest book by Pr Alain Deloche, founder of La Chaîne de l'Espoir, with a preface by Dr Éric Cheysson, president of the association.

“Parallel to my life in hospital, where I’ve experienced all the advances in cardiac surgery, I’ve travelled the world, and continue to do so. At the other end of the world, the problems are not quite the same. Saving sick children in Africa, Asia and Latin America, when they are condemned by the invisible gulf that separates continents, is a constant challenge. Pr Alain Deloche.

This account is a collection of eleven portraits and stories of children operated on and saved thanks to all the links making up La Chaîne de l’Espoir. Pr Alain Deloche describes his work and encounters around the world.

Their names are Amina or Tao, Moïse, Fanta, Yamin… Yesterday, they were sick children, victims of poverty in Afghanistan, Laos, Congo, Mali, Iran… Today, their smiles bear witness to their recovery: thanks to the intervention of La Chaîne de l’Espoir’s doctors and surgeons, they have been cared for and are getting on with their lives.
