Mirana needs you
Mirana’s life is turned upside down by illness
Since she was born, Mirana has suffered from CIA: atrial septal defect. In the little girl, the partition between the two atria of the heart, normally hermetic after birth, is not watertight. Oxygenated and non-oxygenated blood meet and mix, causing the right side of his heart to dilate and putting pressure on his lungs. Today, Mirana is exhausted, her growth has slowed and her life is in danger.

Mirana’s parents can’t afford the operation they’d hoped for
Mirana and her family are staying with her grandparents. Together, they live in a modest house on stilts with a corrugated iron roof. Her mother grows rice during the rainy season and her father is an iron worker. Parents who would so much like to offer their only daughter the operation that could save her life, but with a monthly salary of around €300, it’s impossible…
Hope for a new life persists
But there is still a glimmer of hope in Phnom Penh! At Hôpital Calmette, a surgical team is able to operate on Mirana independently, thanks to the training provided by La Chaîne de l’Espoir over the years. The remaining cost of this open-heart operation is €3,000. The only frontier separating Mirana from a brighter future.
By making a donation, together we can reach this amount and give Mirana the hope of a fulfilled and happy life!
