Already maintained for 2021, the 1,000-euro ceiling provided for under the “Coluche law” has been extended until December 31, 2023. This is excellent news for solidarity and La Chaîne de l’Espoir, which relies heavily on the generosity of the general public.

Finance bill for 2022 : the ceiling for the “Coluche amendment” extended

At the end of 2020, during the 2nd review of the Finance Bill (PLF) for 2021, senators voted unanimously to maintain the 1,000-euro deductibility ceiling provided by the “Coluche Law” scheme. This additional tax deduction concerns charitable and humanitarian associations considered as “organizations helping people in difficulty”.

Under the “Coluche law” – sometimes also referred to as the ” Coluche amendment ” – donations to La Chaîne de l’Espoir are eligible for a 75% tax reduction, up to a limit of 1,000 euros. If your donation exceeds this amount, it is then subject to a 66% tax reduction.

If you make a donation of 200 euros to La Chaîne de l’Espoir to support sick children, a tax reduction of 75% will be applied.
For example: 200 x 75% = 150
This means a reduction of 150 euros on your income tax.
If your initial tax bill was 1,000 euros, your donation will reduce it to 850 euros.

This tax reduction equal to 75% of donations made to organizations helping the most disadvantaged, capped at 1,000 euros of donations and applicable in 2021, has been extended to 2022 and 2023.

On November 12, 2021, the Finance Committee’s amendment was adopted with a favorable opinion from the government. This text extends the 75% income tax reduction ceiling to 1,000 euros for donations made to associations that help the underprivileged (free provision of meals, housing and medical care) for 2 years, until December 31, 2023. Naturally, La Chaîne de l’Espoir is one of the associations benefiting from the “Loi Coluche” scheme.

Pass the hope and make a donation for children
