First actions in the Comoros
Comoros has just joined the 11 countries already benefiting from the echoes® tele-ultrasound platform.
echoes® boxes were installed at the CHN Elmaarouf in Moroni and the Hombo Hospital in Anjouan in May. Since then, echoes® sessions have been held every week, in partnership with the NGO MAEECHA.
During their consultations, Comorian cardiologists can benefit fromdiagnostic assistance from their colleagues at the CHU Félix Guyon in Saint-Denis de La Réunion or the CHU in Nantes.
As the archipelago does not have the capacity to operate on complex cardiac pathologies, three children will also be transferred to one of these hospitals for surgery by the end of 2023.
