Thanks to you, Josefa has regained her mobility!

At the age of 14 months, little Josefa suffered from developmental hip dysplasia. This birth defect causes pain and difficulty in walking. The only option was surgery. Fortunately, you showed admirable generosity and Josefa was successfully operated on.

Josefa’s parents can finally relax!

Indeed, their two-year-old daughter has already undergone three operations – two of which were carried out during a mission for
La Chaîne de l’Espoir. These operations had become essential to cure the developmental hip dysplasia that was crippling her and causing her terrible suffering.

Josefa no longer even needs a cast. All that’s left is a splint.

For this Syrian refugee family, their daughter’s illness was a major source of stress. Especially since the first operation carried out by a private doctor had not been sufficient, and they could no longer afford to continue the treatment. Faced with this situation, La Chaîne de l’Espoir teams mobilized to care for Josefa andprovide psychological support forthe whole family throughout the ordeal. Today, the parents have regained their serenity and Josefa will be able to grow up and move around like any other child her age.

Thank you all for being there for Josefa by answering our call for mobilization!
