Lounis can now learn to write like any other child
Mariela, open-heart surgery in Madagascar

At the age of 3, Lounis was born with symbrachydactyly, a malformation of the hand: the 4 fingers of his hand are “glued” together, much to his parents’ dismay.

In Jordan, few pediatric surgeons specializing in orthopedics are able to treat such pathologies. Fortunately, thanks to our chain of solidarity, we were able to offer Lounis the 3 operations he needed to separate his fingers one by one and enable him to use his hand normally.

Now the little boy can play freely and mingle with other children, as he so much enjoys doing. He won’t need to hide his hand when he grows up, and he’ll be able to hold a pencil when he starts school. More than an operation, it’s a new destiny that we have offered him, all together.
