We turned to you aboutEdwine, the 11-year-old Madagascan girl with a heart condition.

Ever since she was a little girl, Edwine had suffered from recurrent bronchitis and shortness of breath. At the age of 11, surgery was urgently needed!

Her mother couldn’t afford to treat her, especially as the open-heart surgery required was not feasible in Madagascar.

Edwine successfully operated

Thanks to your donations, the young girl was able to come to France and undergo surgery in Paris. She was welcomed by Gisèle and Serge, to whom she became attached like a real grandparent.

Endearing and courageous, Edwine spent the holidays in France, where she made friends and even a best friend. She even made an appearance on TF1’s 13h program, which will be a nice souvenir for her.

With her brand-new heart, Edwine can finally breathe without embarrassment and grow up serenely.
