Chenda needs surgery
28/01/20 – Chenda is doing well

Thanks to your generosity, Chenda underwent surgery for her serious heart condition a few weeks ago and is now in great shape.
Indeed, Sopheap Phuong, La Chaîne de l’Espoir’s medical correspondent atPhnom Penh’s Calmette Hospital, recently informed us that little Chenda is doing very well. Better still, her condition requires no treatment.
Today, Chenda runs, sings, dances and finally enjoys life as a healthy child would. Without you, none of this would have been possible! So thank you for responding to our appeal to help Chenda.
05/31/19 – Chenda needs you
A short while ago, we received a call for help from Sopheap Phuong, who manages consultations for children cared for by La Chaîne de l’Espoir at Calmette Hospital in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. She alerted us to the case of little Chenda.
Open-heart surgery can cure her
Chenda suffers from a heart defect from birth: she breathes badly, she grows badly, and in the near future she will be even more exhausted… Only open-heart surgery can cure Chenda. And luckily she can be operated on locally, by Dr. Nou Tisopheap and Dr. Samnong, whom we have trained.
Her father supports his family from a small rice field. He can’t afford to contribute to the cost of the operation… The operation that will save the fillette has an incompressible cost: 5,200 euros.

We can save it
If we raise the necessary amount, the parents will be able to return home with a healed child. Chenda will grow up normally and will be able to run like any other child her age…
We’re calling on you to help: by making a donation now, you’ll become an indispensable link in our Chain of Solidarity. And help save this little girl’s life.
