On Monday, December 2, 2019 from 6:30pm to 7:45pm, as part of Lundis de La Chaîne, we’ll be screening the film “Afghanistan, l’héritage des French Doctors”, directed by Nicolas Jallot and produced by Grégory Schnebelen.

The screening will be attended by Dr Najeebullah Bina and director Nicolas Jallot.

This exceptional film recounts forty years of Afghanistan’s history, from the Soviet invasion in December 1979 and the intervention of French doctors such as Eric Cheysson, who set off on a mission to help the population… the beginning of the French Doctors.
The spirit of these French doctors and their humanist commitment lives on today, 40 years later, at the Institut Médical Français pour la Mère et l’Enfant in Kabul, where they fight alongside Afghan doctors to save lives.
Running time: 68 min.

“Afghanistan, l’héritage des French Doctors” was selected at the Festival International du Film d’histoire in 2018, at FIGRA 2019 in the Terre(s) d’histoire competition and at FFIR in Rasnov, in the “Let’s movie” category, in 2019.

A pot de l’amitié will bring the evening to a close.
