Since 2020, Les Mécamiens (formerly Mecam 44), a small business located in Loire-Atlantique and headed by Nadège Anselme, has distinguished itself by its exemplary commitment to sick children in underprivileged countries. This partnership, based on a shared desire to help the most vulnerable, demonstrates how a company can play a key role in the actions of La Chaîne de l'Espoir.

A partnership based on optimism and action

For Nadège Anselme, President of Les Mécamiens, optimism is a true philosophy of life, deeply rooted in her vision of entrepreneurship. The word “Optimist”, displayed above her desk, reflects her approach: “The optimist, for me, is very realistic, because he chooses to focus his action towards a goal with will. That’s what sets them in motion, enables them to get others on board and not be afraid to evolve. In this sense, I see a real link with the mission of La Chaîne de l’Espoir.”

For over ten years, Nadège Anselme has guided Les Mécamiens by cultivating strong values:

This philosophy was given concrete expression in the midst of the pandemic, with the creation of the anti-Covid hook Yes-Yookan! : “The idea wasn’t to make a big profit out of it, but to keep the energy positive during such an anxious time. That’s why we wanted this initiative to be open to society too, with a percentage of sales going to charity.” It was on this occasion that Nadège Anselme discovered La Chaîne de l’Espoir, a cause that touched her deeply: “Helping sick children in disadvantaged countries is a cause that touches me deeply.

Concrete actions and milestones

Since the beginning of this sponsorship initiative, Les Mécamiens have multiplied their initiatives in favor of La Chaîne de l’Espoir.

Financial support: their donations have made it possible to finance vital surgery, saving several children.

Sharing human moments: in July 2024, Nadège Anselme and her team welcomed a host family from Nantes accompanied by Fafah, a Madagascan child operated on thanks to the association.
Raising the profile of the association: in September 2024, to mark the 30th anniversary of Les Mécamiens, La Chaîne de l’Espoir was honored as a partner of the company’s employees and suppliers.
