Hostilities must cease in Lebanon
For over 10 years, La Chaîne de l'Espoir has been working in Lebanon to help vulnerable children suffering from orthopedic pathologies and congenital heart disease.
Concerned by the violence currently taking place in southern Lebanon, which is having a heavy impact on women and children, we have decided as NGO members of the Lebanon Humanitarian INGO Forum (LHIF) to join in a joint statement urging the international community and the relevant authorities to give priority to the cessation of hostilities in Lebanon, in order to put an end to the suffering and hardship of civilians striving to live in safety and dignity.
We call on all stakeholders and the international community to uphold international law and work towards a permanent ceasefire in the region.
