West Africa: strengthening the skills of medical teams

La Chaîne de l'Espoir is committed to strengthening the skills of medical teams in West Africa, a crucial factor in improving healthcare. Through surgical and training missions, our association provides long-term support to local healthcare professionals, creating a chain of skills transmission.

In West Africa, the lack of qualified medical staff is a major obstacle to the management of pediatric pathologies and complex surgical care.

To remedy this, La Chaîne de l’Espoir provides training for medical teams. During our missions, our volunteer doctors and surgeons carry out surgical operations alongside local healthcare staff, strengthening the medical capabilities of both the health facilities and the country.

We also support the Diplôme d’études spécialisées en chirurgie pédiatrique (DES-CP) and help develop loco-regional anesthesia.
