By joining La Chaîne de l’Espoir, every volunteer contributes to a vital mission: improving access to medical and surgical care for the most vulnerable, especially children and women.

Your participation as a volunteer isn’t just a gift of your time – it’s a commitment to profound change, enabling as many people as possible to access quality care, regardless of their place of birth.

Your action has a direct impact.

In 2023, thanks to the commitment of our volunteers and partners, 7,171 people benefited from an operation and more than 232,000 women, men and children benefited from our action.

How can I help as a regional volunteer with La Chaîne de l’Espoir?

By volunteering with a regional branch of La Chaîne de l’Espoir, you can :

  • Organize awareness-raising or fund-raising events in support of our actions (sports competitions, concerts, etc.).
  • Support La Chaîne de l’Espoir campaigns at local level.
  • Develop financial partnerships in the regions, by prospecting and developing the loyalty of the local business network.
  • Give time to children in vulnerable situations, by becoming a volunteer foster family or “parrains et marraines soleil”.

Becoming a host family

As part of the Care for Children in France program, volunteer host families look after sick children from the moment they arrive in France. They accompany them to all their medical appointments, support them during hospitalization and look after them at home until their state of health allows them to return to their country of origin.
