Some examples of projects to support
Operating on seriously ill foreign children in France
Every year, many children suffering from cardiac, visceral, reconstructive or orthopedic pathologies find it impossible to receive the care they need in their home countries, due to a lack of suitable medical infrastructures and trained specialists. Faced with this reality, La Chaîne de l’Espoir organizes the medical transfer of these children to France, where they can benefit from vital operations.
Around 80 children are treated each year. The average cost of an operation is €15,000.
Facilitating access to healthcare with mobile clinics in India
In India, lack of access to healthcare infrastructure and poverty are hampering access to essential medical care. To meet this critical need, La Chaîne de l’Espoir, in collaboration with the local Taabar association, is deploying two mobile clinics to reach the most vulnerable communities. Each clinic is equipped to offer medical consultations. The first clinic focuses on general care, while the second is dedicated exclusively to young girls, with gynecological consultations and awareness-raising sessions on women’s health.These mobile clinics care for around 44,000 children and teenagers every year.
The cost of running our two mobile clinics is €110,000.
